Me
Here are some of my identities:
20 21 22, academic, agnostic, Arthurian, atheist, Australian, British, cissexual, currently abled, daughter, dual national, English student, fanficcer, fangirl, female, feminist, friend, geek, girlfriend, heterosexual, liberal, medievalist, middle-class, novelist, reader, Shakespearean, sister, sort-of socialist, Star Wars fan, uni student, volunteer, white . . .
Those are the perspectives from which I approach life.
I write long animated screeds about things I love and things I hate. Quite often I do it here.
I really love your intellect. I’m thanking all the literary and language guides who brought me here. All the best,
Bellatrix
I never do blog commenting, but I was so excited to discover another medievalist feminist! I’m just starting my MA in Medieval Studies, focussing on literature, and I’ll definitely be bookmarking your blog!
@Bellatrix – I hadn’t spotted your comment when it went up (shows how often I check this page, I guess) but belated thanks, very much!
@Kath: Great to see another medievalist in the feminist blogosphere! Are you in the UK? If you are, surely there’s a substantial chance we’ve met, or at least have friends/tutors in common. UK Medieval Lit seems to be a really small world – I went to the Viking Society student conference last year and ran into someone who turned out to be the housemate of someone I’d met at a Malory conference the year before.
Yeah, I am in the UK – I’m starting my MA in a couple of weeks in Leeds, and was at Cambridge before that doing English, again with a strong medieval focus! I don’t think that there are that many of us kicking around, so the likelihood that we know someone in common is fairly strong!
Dude! Email me! (I just made an email for the blog – top of the sidebar.) I think there is a substantial chance that we could meet up in person
Your blog is absolutely fantastic.
